Filtering ABM Target Accounts

I work for a company with multiple business units, each business unit has its own sales pipeline to keep us sane. Becaue of the multiple business units we also segregate out marketing to address the specific needs of the customers within each business unit.

the ABM feature provides great information, however, I have no easy way to filter for my different sales pipelines and or teams, so all the data is mushed together (seeing we are sending lots of emails, or have 1M in open deals is great, but which business unit/sales pipeline/marketing team is the success attributed to). To make ABM super effective I either need to be able to filter by pipeline, by sales team, or a custom property that identifies the business unit.

From the target account page I can filter by team, however, that feature is lost when you click into a specific company, which leads me back to the question who gets the credit for what they are doing.

Yes - I would appreciate a filtering option too!

Hi team,
Commenting for a customer here.
Currently the target account dashboard has limited filters. Everyone’s use case is different, would love to have the ability to increase filtering option; having custom properties available would be huge.
Thank you!

Adding my upvote here too! I agree with all of the above. I also would really like to see the capability to have more filtering options which would really allow me to more effectively use the AMB tools inside HubSpot.

Adding upvote as well. Its is hard to run multiple ABM programs for different segments while data is agreggated. I know we could overcoem it with lists and dashboards but would be much better to have filters available in ABM native dashboard.

My team loves the ABM Dashboard but to make it as useful as it should be we need the ability to filter on custom Company properties.

In order for the sales team to live on the Target Accounts page, we need to be able to edit the columns as well. At minimum, my team needs to be able to filter by geography and probably priority. However, customizable properties should still be able to make it into this view.
I do love that you can assign buying roles pretty easily in this view though. Nice job, HubSpot team.

Yes I was just asking about that for us and some of clients.

Agreed! My sales team is downplaying its power because of the incorrect “open deal value” that it displays at the top. The value is the total sum of all pipelines and all stages. Any closed deals should not be included in a field that’s labeled as “open”, and further we should be able to specify pipelines and date range as we do for other data. I’m honestly a bit surprised that for how long ABM has been launched it doesn’t seem to have evolved past the initial release.
At minimum in the meanwhile, the label should be renamed to something like “lifetime” deal value so it’s less misleading.

What’s the point of having an ABM view if you can’t filter by engagement date/owner, etc? It just makes the functionality unusable.

Yes, HubSpot Product team. We need more customization/segmentation/filtering on the Target Accounts view! Please.

Upvote, this is needed please.

Yes, my reps would like to be able to filter their Target Accounts by State. Thanks!

Agree! We should be able to use our Business Units to seperate out our Target Accounts. We should be able to assign an TA Owner and Team (for each pipeline) and would be great to then have the ability to have one Company assigned to more than one TA for a different Business Unit. Having a custom field would really help us using TA

Any updates on when this could happen?

Bit of a challenge trying to get the sales team engaged and using the platform (also in HubSpot’s best interests) when pretty simple functionality like this doesn’t exist. Just becomes another reason for them to stay in their spreadsheets.

Been sitting here with upvotes and comments since 2020 with no reply from HubSpot…

HubSpot - If you can’t provide this, then can you offer us suggestions from how other companies are successfully using HubSpot-supplied functionality for ABM? If there is an easy user-side workaround, I’m open to this. (Seems a shame to waste the out-of-the-box dashboard you’ve spent the resources to create though.)

To be able to filter on lot’s of different objects/properties is essential in order for a marketeer or sales rep to manage multiple target accounts for different target groups or solutions/products Filtering on any company property, or deal property is a necessity. Now everything is in one list which is not manageble.

I see this issue is three years old now. We all can see that ABM is becoming more and more important. It would be a shame that HubSpot would miss this train.

Great need here too!

This would be extremely useful for us, too. Advanced filters like the normal companies screen would give us much better reporting and allow our reps to match and focus efforts accordingly.

YES PLEASE!
In the Target Accounts view we can filter the list based on e.g. deals, deal value, last touch, last engagement… but where are the marketing columns/properties? We don’t use HS CRM so I have no last touch/engagement data… I need last seen, recent conversion etc. to make this useful.
Please give us access to all company properties with “Edit columns” similar to the Company > Overview tab so we can add e.g. Team, site, no. of this, recent that, last seen, total of of… you know!
