Hi,
I am a rookie of using Hubspot api so maybe there is a simple solution for my problem.
I’ try create a new task and I have kept the test case as simple as possible but I still get “404 resource not found error”.
So I call https://api.hubapi.com//crm/v3/objects/tasks and header has necessary autohorization informaation.
Body is something like this:
“properties”: {
“hs_timestamp”: “2023-10-30T03:30:17.883Z”,
“hs_task_body”: “Some text”,
“hubspot_owner_id”: “XXXXXX”,
“hs_task_subject”: “Some text”,
“hs_task_status”: “WAITING”,
“hs_task_priority”: “HIGH”,
“hs_task_type”:“CALL”
}
Value for hubspot_owner_id comes from https://api.hubapi.com/crm/v3/owners endpoint and I use id property not userid.
So what am I doing wrong?
Hi @KMarttinen,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community!
I understand that you’d like to create a task via API but you get an error.
You are using this documentation.), right?
In your code, the one thing I see is that the status of the task needs to be either "COMPLETED" or “NOT_STARTED”. I don’t think that this is causing the error but just in case.
Also, I believe that from what I can see on this post that the task type here should be “task”. Not 100% sure but you might want to give it a go?
I also wanted to invite a couple of subject matter experts to this conversation @mangelet, @DanielJeal and @Mike_Eastwood do you have suggestions to help @KMarttinen, please?
If anybody else has anything to add and/or share, please feel free to join in the conversation
Thank you and have a nice day!
Best,
Bérangère
Thank you for the reply. Yes, I am using and followed the documentation that you suggested. In the fact I managed to create new task when I did it with curl but when I try do a new task with the Postman I still get that “404 resource not found error”. This is quite wierd problem.
