We are struggling with historical invoice data, and if we could have this solved, it would monsterously improve our efficiency within our ecosystem.
I understand there is a block to prevent data manipulation from bad actors on historical data, however the limitation on being able to edit the same invoice for record keeping is counter intuitive and does not help in having free form transformative data, especially for a instructional institution, where students are added and dropped on the fly, with different courses also added and dropped at a similar frequency, and therefore our invoicing is bottlenecked when these changes occur. Far too much manual entry in duplicating and accurately recording a new invoice of one that had been generated previously.
Please, just allow us to be able to change invoice data at any interval of time. Make this advanced permissions, and include an edit log on whomever made an edit to invoices, if the worry is disrupting historical data in the even of bad actors. Then we can follow what happened, when, and then proceed to change it back.
