Hi, currently I have set the “enable double opt-in” to “enabled for some pages only”. The DOI process works fine with Forms on Hubspot Landingpages. But we have some Wordpress pages with Hubspot Forms included (via Form ID). Some need DOI, some don’t:
Wordpress: Embedded „Contact Form“ >> DOI not needed
Wordpress: Embedded other forms >> DOI needed
Hubspot: Landingpages >> DOI needed
No setting for DOI seems to fit. Any idea or workaround to make it work?
It looks like you’re on a Professional subscription, is that a Marketing Hub Professional? If so, I have a preferred workaround outlined below. (Without that subscription, I’m not aware of a solution.)
My preferred option here is to enable the system double opt-in for one page only, an unused page. The system double opt-in is then effectively suppressed but, by enabling the system double opt-in, all double opt-in related options become visible in the HubSpot UI (including the ability to design the confirmation page).
You can then simply create your own double opt-in emails (automated marketing emails for workflows) which are sent via contact-based workflow.
To create a custom double opt-in email, simply add a link, select “Email subscription link” > “Subscription confirmation”. This works both on plain text and in CTAs.
If you now used different forms, you would have the flexibility to set up custom triggers in your workflows. For some forms you could send a double opt-in, for others not.
This is what the enrollment criteria would look like:
You’d of course specify the correct form. Marketing email confirmation status checks whether a contacts has confirmed their email before (or was marked confirmed by you).
Thanks for the explanation, @karstenkoehler ! How would you handle it in a form with two consent types on an embedded form:
[Checkbox] Newsletter with DOI and
[Checkbox] Another consent (either just sending contact request or DOI for gated content).
