Is it possible to host a video on a basic marketing plan? I tried to host on YouTube, but it did not autoplay, and I had to click out to play.

Depending on where you are embedding the video, the playback behavior can vary. Each browser supports different file types and, in some cases, will download the video file instead of playing it in the browser. Videos uploaded as .mp4 files are supported in most browsers and will play in the browser. You can learn more about adding videos to HubSpot content.

If you’re embedding a YouTube video, ensure that the autoplay feature is enabled in the embed code. By setting the autoplay value to 1, the video will automatically start playing on the webpage. Please check this YouTube dev page.

Eventually, I moved to GudSho because it gave me full control over autoplay, embedding, and branding even on more affordable tiers. It’s straightforward to set up, and the player feels professional without forcing viewers to click away.
If autoplay is a priority, I’d recommend checking out their embed options—it solved that exact issue for me.
