Email analytics: What does Apple Mail (iOS) mean?

In email client analytics - if Client is Apple Mail (iOS), does that mean it’s in the Apple Mail app or is the email and Apple email like me.com or icloud.com?

This is indicating that the email was opened in the Apple Mail (iOS) client - the recipient may have had an apple email address, but that’s not being measured here.
