Our deal amount is driven by the line items on the deal. However, users can manually over-ride the deal amount using the pencil icon in the upper left portion of the deal details view.
There should be a way to prevent such changes.

This is possible, however a feature only available to Enterprise customers: Manage view and edit access for properties
