Hello everyone,

We use a custom object in HubSpot for managing our consulting projects. Each project moves through a pipeline with several stages. We want to calculate how long it takes to complete the projects.

I have a couple of questions:

  • Is there a way to calculate in a custom object pipleline how many days it takes to move from stage 1 (project begins) to the final stage (project completed)?
  • I’m assuming that my above question is “no” right now. So, I created properties called “Date entered stage 1” and “Date entered final stage.” Can I create another property that calculates the number of days between the “Date enter stage 1” date and the “Date entered final stage” date? I know we can do this in Excel using the days function but I’m hoping to include it in HubSpot reporting with a custom duration property.

I just answered my own question! In creating a custom property, I found the option to calculate the time between to date properties.
