Hi Guys - weird one. The blog posts on our site all have two <HTML> tags when you view-source in the browser. One with and then one without the lang= parameter. Anyone know why this is happening?

I spotted this when performing an SEO audit of the site, funnily enough it didn’t come up when using HubSpot’s SEO tools.
The other strange thing: if you inspect the code in Chrome you don’t see 2x HTML tags but when you view source you do.

Hi @Mikessential have you looked at the language settings for your domain?
Since your site is only in English, I recommend turning off this setting:
Let me know if this resolves the issue, I’ve run into a range of issues related to this setting and am curious of the full implications (and why the default is set to on).

Many thanks for your reply! We don’t have the language redirects option switched on and we’re only getting the double HTML tag for blog posts and not the rest of the site. I have taken a look at the blog post template but cannot see an issue there. It is a strange one!

@Mikessential very interesting indeed, especially since you’re not using a subdomain for the blog, it definitely has to be related to the templates. hmm…
