I just added about 1,000 accounts and did the parent child relationships with them.
If I assign someone as a child account to a parent that is a current customer, does HubSpot automatically assume that the child is a customer too?
If so, would this affect anything at the contact level?
Hi @DChimenti,

No, unless someone in your portal has set up specific automation for that, it wouldn’t happen automatically.

This depends on whether you’re syncing lifecycle stage between contact and company, see here: Automatically set and sync record lifecycle stages
Hope this helps!
Thank you Karsten. Being that I inherited this HubSpot and am new to it, can you tell me how I can find out if someone previous to me has set up a specific automation for that correlation at the company level?
Hi @DChimenti,
Navigate to Settings > Properties, switch to the Company properties dropdown and find “Lifecycle stage”. Click on it and you should see a “Used in” tab. If nothing’s there, nothing was set up.
Best regards!
Hi @DChimenti,
Workflows are a form of automation, you would have to review what those workflows do.
Karsten, amazing advice as always.
Thank you for your service to our community.
