Hello,
We’re looking at eSignature integration with Hubspot - Docusign and Dropbox Sign (Hellosign) seem to be the best options for us (template, integration, name recognition, etc…).
Have you used either and ended up switching? Aka Docusign → Dropbox Sign or vice versa?
Any pitfalls or surprises we should be aware of?
Thanks!
Max
Hello @maxclark
Both DocuSign and Dropbox Sign are popular eSignature solutions with strong integrations with HubSpot. Both have their strengths and weaknesses, so the best choice depends on your specific needs.
DocuSign is a well-established player in the eSignature market, offering a broad range of features, including templates, conditional routing, and real-time tracking. However, DocuSign can be relatively expensive, especially for smaller businesses, and some users have reported issues with the user interface.
Dropbox Sign, on the other hand, offers a more streamlined experience with lower pricing, making it an attractive option for smaller businesses. However, it may lack some of the advanced features of DocuSign, such as conditional routing.
It’s important to evaluate both solutions based on your specific needs and priorities. Consider factors such as pricing, features, ease of use, and customer support when making your decision. Additionally, you may want to test both solutions with a smaller group of users before committing to a long-term contract.

Hi @maxclark,
I know this thread is a bit old but I wanted to say hello in case I could help.
We have released an App on the HubSpot Marketplace that does exactly this. It takes information from Deals (and associated objects, like line items) and places them into a Google Doc or Slides file, then sends them out for signature. You can check it out here:
You can have multiple different workflows that generate different types of documents and they can have edit and review stages built in. e.g. A document can be generated with info from the deal, then the document can be edited and reviewed before it’s approved to be sent for signature.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Cheers,
James
I’ve used both and found that ease of use and integration with HubSpot are key. One had better automation, while the other felt more intuitive for clients. Depends on what matters most to you.
I also found that contract management software for startups can really simplify things. It makes tracking contracts easier, keeps everything in one place, and ensures nothing slips through the cracks.
If you’re dealing with multiple signatures and need smooth integration, it’s worth checking out. It saved me a ton of time by automating reminders and keeping my agreements organized without extra hassle.
Hi All! I highly recommend you check out Box Sign. We provide UNLIMITED signatures plus a boatload more functionality with cheaper prices than PandaDoc or Docusign and this INCLUDES the enterprise application Box.
Here’s the solution that bridges this gap:
Box Sign + SparkGrid Software Box Connector gives you the native experience you’re looking for:
Direct from HubSpot: Generate and send quotes with eSignature without leaving HubSpot
No PDF Export: Documents flow directly from HubSpot to signature without manual steps
Seamless Customer Experience: Customers receive and sign within one unified flow
Automatic Status Updates: Signature status syncs back to HubSpot deals automatically
