Hello!
we are trying to implement a middleware that will query hubspot via API in order to pull data about contact and deal.
A docusign contract is signed via Hubspot and it’s tracked in the activity tab.

the blurry part is a link to docusign which shows the envelop ID.
The middleware needs both data pulled from Hubspot (no issue via API) and that envelop ID. how can we pull that data also from API?
Thanks for letting me know.
M.

Hi @ramiorame17 You’re on the right track using the API for deal and contact data, but the DocuSign envelope ID in the activity tab isn’t exposed through standard CRM endpoints.
Those engagement records are stored as “engagements” (specifically notes, emails, or custom engagements), and integrations like DocuSign typically log them as custom engagements via the Engagements API.
You can check them using the endpoint for associations or engagements, look for an engagement with a type or metadata key referencing “docusign,” where the metadata.body or metadata.link may include the envelope ID. If the integration writes that link as a timeline event, it may also appear under the crm/v3/objects/communications or crm/v3/objects/notes APIs depending on setup.

Can you confirm if you installed the official DocuSign integration from HubSpot’s marketplace or a custom one? That will define whether the ID is accessible through HubSpot’s engagement object or only via the DocuSign API callback.
