Right now there are no granular permissioning options for documents and files. It would make a huge difference to be able to turn off upload abilities but have indiviudals still able to view and use those documents and files. Sales teams constantly have problems with version control and ensuring quality materials are what’s shared with prospects and clients -- without more granular permissioning, we have no control to ensure only up-to-date and company endorsed materials go out.
YES! We need the ability to limit access control so that users do not accidentally move, edit, or delete documents. The ability for the document owner to assign a read-only access level to the other users is critical. And the suggestion above that would deny access for certain users to even upload documents would be wonderful to helping to eliminate unauthorized (or unapproved) documents from making their way into the platform.
Adding to this - it is crucial for document maintenance that we restrict user’s abilities to upload documents. We have several versions of documents floating around because instead of utilizing the re-upload feature, users are uploading totally new versions.
This is critical as we use Documents to be able to share documentation an proposals with our clients. Since we use HubSpot for Customer Service as well, everyone with a HubSpot user can access Documents that are confidential. We don’t want to loose the tracking feature that allows us to know which documents are openend, by whom and how much they spend on each page, but it is becoming a liability. There’s no way of limiting the access to other users except by selecting each document individually which is crazy
Hi there!
You can find this native functionality in our HubSpot Box Integration.
Let me know if you have any questions, or if there’s anything else I can do to help.
Thanks!
Chris
I’m newer to HubSpot. I can’t believe there’s not an option to limit a user’s access to upload documents. This is a critical missing permissions feature.
