DNS issues / Can't access without VPN

Hello there,

I recently switched to a new internet provider, and I’ve been having trouble accessing Hubspot without using a VPN ever since. It’s becoming quite a hassle, and I’m hoping someone can help me find a solution so I can access Hubspot smoothly.
Would you be able to lend a hand? I’d really appreciate any assistance or advice you can offer:)

P.S. I talked to out IT department and changed the DNS accordingly but the problem didn’t get solved

Hi @ZSabaz,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

I wanted to confirm that it’s the HubSpot account tools that are not functioning as expected when you are logged into HubSpot without a VPN? And not a website you’re hosting on HubSpot?

Does the software work as expected when you’re on the VPN? Are the load times normal, can you use all of the tools?

Thanks,

Mia, Community team

Hey Mia,
Thanks for getting back to me.
No, it works incredibly slow with VPN. Before I switched to another
internet provider it was working fine without VPN, now it doesn’t.
I talked to our IT team and they gave me some advices like changing DNS and
I did but the problem didn^t get solved.

I see, thank you for the additional information @ZSabaz!

I’ve checked our ticket queue to see if other customers are experiencing similar issues, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Are there any parts of the software that you are able to access (like the Contacts overview or account settings)? Or is the behaviour the same in the entire HubSpot desktop app?

I’d recommend to first take these steps to rule out a cache or browser issue:

  1. Clear your browser cache
  2. Make sure your browser is up-to-date
  3. Try accessing HubSpot via a different browser.

If the problem persists, your local network could indeed be the cause of this issue. A strict security tool might block external scripts (like the ones HubSpot relies on), or otherwise interfere with the communication between the browser and HubSpot.

You could also check the internet speed: if the requirements described in this help article are met, then all HubSpot tools should work as expected.

Thanks,

Hi,

We have the same problem. We are using Hubspot in 15 different locations, 2 of them have the same problem. We have tried all of the solutions below but have not received any results. We can only access the website if we switch to another internet provider. The speed test is around 90 Mbps.

We need to find a solution since our consultants in these locations can not use Hubspot properly.

Thanks.

Hey, that sounds really annoying, especially after already trying DNS changes with IT. Sometimes new ISPs route traffic differently or block certain services unintentionally, so it can be tricky to fix directly.

In cases like this, I’ve had a good experience using the FastVPN Chrome Extension by Namecheap. It’s quick to install and really easy to toggle on when needed. It helped me access sites like HubSpot smoothly without complicated setup, and it’s been pretty stable for everyday use.
