For sales/marketing teams. Goal is to make discounts fun for customers.
As working for a company that uses a subscription model and one-time payments, it would be awesome to have discount codes that can be applied to recurring payments (i.e. 20% off applies to each recurring payment). Currently, when you add a 20% off discount code to a recurring payment, it just takes 20% off of the first payment.
Right now, there is an option to create a payment link and apply a unit discount - but that has to be done internally, and isn’t as fun (or effective) for the customer as them putting in a code and watching the amount go down.
100% this would be critical to us switching over to HubSpot payments over Stripe.
I’m shocked that this option does not exist yet…
This is also critical to our business. We sell physical courses and allow people to pay in installments via suscriptions with a fixed number of payments. We also offer discounts to special interest groups like the military, educators, first repsonders, and more. We sometimes will have a special discount available to other select groups or one-time discounts for individuals. Not being able to apply those discounts to all of the installment payments then the Discount Code system is useless. Not having this functionality will likely push us to use a third party like DepositFix, which is really disappointing because of all the time we put in to building our payments system out in HubSpot specifically to consolidate more of our systems into one place. Now we’re back to multiple systems.
If I could create Payment Links through the API, then I could have a work around, but that’s not possible either.
