Difference between Job Function and Job Title?

In the real world, I undertand the difference between a job title and a job function but in the HubSpot CRM for a Contact Property, I’m unsure what the qualitative or reporting differences would be to use Job Function in addition to Job Title.
Any good uses case examples of where Job Function is more addative than just Job Title?

Seems Job Function would fit between a Persona and a Job Title contextually.

Q: Seems Job Function would fit between a Persona and a Job Title contextually.

Short A: That’s precisely how we view the HubSpot ‘Job Function’ Ads property as well as custom role-based properties.

Longer A:

As an ‘Ads Property’, Job Function is data provided through a lead ad form as set by the ads tool. There are no reporting implications.
