For new HS portals jQuery version 1.11.x and “load jQuery from footer” should be enabled by default. This encourages best practices from the beginning. Saving teams from having to test if jquery in the footer is going to cause issues.
We have recently launched a new setting to allow users to disable HubSpot’s included jQuery library on their CMS pages, allowing developers to bring their own versions or use none at all. This update will also allow developers to decide where to include their preferred (non-standard HubSpot) library and it’s location.
Users can now move jQuery to the footer or opt out of including HubSpot’s default version of jQuery under Settings > Website > Pages settings.
