Deal Splits: Surface Post-Split Amount as a Usable Property

Deal Splits: Surface Post-Split Amount as a Usable Property

Problem

HubSpot already calculates each user’s portion of a split deal inside the Forecasting tool, but that post-split amount is not stored as a property and cannot be used elsewhere in HubSpot.

This creates a major reporting limitation for teams using Deal Splits.

For example:

  • Rep A and Rep B close a $1,000,000 deal with a 50/50 split.

  • Rep A and Rep C close a $200,000 deal with a 50/50 split.

The total deal value is $1,200,000, but Rep A should receive credit for:

$500,000 + $100,000 = $600,000

HubSpot already knows these values because they appear in Forecasting. However, there is currently no property representing Rep A’s $600,000 post-split total that can be surfaced on the main pipeline view or easily used in reporting, dashboards, workflows, or calculations.

Current Limitation

The standard Amount property represents the full deal amount.

The standard Weighted Amount represents the deal amount multiplied by stage probability.

Neither represents the amount attributable to an individual rep after Deal Splits are applied.

The Forecasting tool does calculate and display the split-adjusted amount, but that calculation appears to exist only within Forecasting and is not available as a usable property elsewhere.

This also cannot reasonably be recreated with a custom calculation property or workflow because the Deal Split percentage/value is not exposed as a standard deal property.

Requested Solution

Please expose the value HubSpot is already calculating for Deal Splits as a usable property/field, such as:

Split Amount / Credited Amount / Post-Split Amount

For each split owner:

Post-Split Amount = Deal Amount × User’s Deal Split %

Ideally, this value could then be:

  • Used in reports and dashboards

  • Summed by Deal Owner / Split Owner

  • Displayed on the Pipeline board

  • Used in workflows and calculations

  • Used for sales leaderboards and performance reporting

  • Filtered by date, pipeline, stage, team, or owner

Why This Matters

Deal Splits are specifically designed to give multiple salespeople appropriate credit for a deal.

If HubSpot can calculate the split for Forecasting, users should also be able to report on and use that same credited amount throughout HubSpot.

For sales organizations, the question isn’t only:

“How much revenue did these deals generate?”

It’s also:

“How much revenue should each salesperson receive credit for?”

Right now, HubSpot knows the answer — but only exposes it inside Forecasting.

Making the post-split amount available as a reportable property would make Deal Splits significantly more useful across the platform.

Agree this would be a great property. Until it exists, two workarounds help. If splits are never more than two or three reps, create number properties like Split Owner 1 Amount and Split Owner 2 Amount, filled by calculation properties that multiply the deal amount by each split percentage. Then report Owner 1 amounts by owner and Owner 2 amounts by owner and put both on one dashboard. A bit manual, but it works in standard reports. The cleaner route is to check whether Deal Splits shows up as a data source in the custom report builder on your tier. If it does, summing the split amount by user gives Rep A the 600,000 from your example directly. If it doesn’t appear, support can confirm whether split reporting is available for your portal. Upvoted the idea either way.
