Deal Close Date remove or standardize time component

I would love to have the time component of the Deal Close Date be able to be defaulted to a certain time value. Currently the time portion is set by when a change to the field is made. For us, this creates an issue if a US West Coast user is working late and makes changes. I have a chunk of deals that are predicted to close in Fiscal Year 2023 (1/1/2023) for US East Coast users, but Fiscal Year 2022 for Central to West.

Allowing us to set all deal times at like 1 PM EST (or whatever) would help with this issue. Or alternatively using UTC. Just anything where my yearly bookings aren’t different depending on where you are pulling the report!

You can try to create a calculated field, or alternatively create a custom report using exported data. FYI, I have done some extensive work to help one of my customers to track various KPIs around Deal Close Dates and I will be open to share what I’ve done and offer you some free-advice.
