As a developer it seems I don’t have an editing permission to this and the solution seems either changing <a> to <span> or adding an empty href at the end of <a> tag (<a class=“whatever” href=“#”).
This situation has a high impact on our SEO and we’d like to know if there’s a possible solution.
These Meeting calendars are rendered in an iFrame so there’s unfortunately nothing that can be done to change it due to the nature of iFrames. It’s been a sore spot for a lot of users as this means we can’t even customize the styling beyond what HubSpot lets us.
While I can understand your concern about the issue from the SEO report, the way the meetings page is configured it doesn’t actually pose an issue for SEO and it isn’t something you can optimize against.
I would recommend that you hide the warning for any of the meeting pages and focus on higher priority SEO opportunities.
It is very unlikely that your meeting link page would ever show in SERPs - while these pages don’t automatically have “noindex” tags, any time I’ve checked Google Search Console, these pages aren’t being indexed.
I did a quick search directly for your name and “meeting” which yielded no results for your meeting page.
The SEO tools are really helpful for identifying opportunities to improve your website, but it’s not perfect - this is what I like to call a “false flag” something that is triggered because it doesn’t meet a specific criteria, yet it wouldn’t have any impact on your actual SEO.
