In our case, our users regularly navigate to a company and then need to “view associated records” for a custom object (as there are many records associated).
This takes you to the “all records” view for that object, which is automatically filtered for that Company record. However, the “all records” cannot be amended (even by a Super User).
The main problem, is that our users regularly want to filter the associated views for a particular field. But the default Quick Filters cannot be amended, this means that users have to go through multiple clicks to either add the quick filter and use it, or apply an advanced filter to achieve the same result. As such, our users are feeling frustrated and believe that Hubspot is wasting their time, especially when compared to Dynamics 365, which allows for the customisation of default views. We can’t use a custom view in this instance, as the Company doesn’t get filtered automatically like the “all records” view (so it would result in the same time loss).
On a related note, all new users need to go through the process to amend the “all records” view to show the relevant columns. Another time-saving feature would be to allow all Super users to change which columns are initially shown in the default “all records” view.
If allowing amendments to the default “all records” view, is too complex, another solution could be to allow Super Users to set a custom view to be displayed and automatically filtered when the “view associated records” is selected from a record.
