I want to be able to customize what the “last activity date” is based on. E.g. I only want it to be based on two-way communication with the prospect. Right now it picks up if they’ve completed a task, made a call (even though it’s not connected), sent an email, etc.
In our forecasting, this is an important risk factor that we consider, when was the last time there was two-way communication?
No, the behavior of these default properties cannot be changed unfortunately.
Have you considered looking at “Last contacted”?
Last contacted: the last date and time a chat conversation, call, sales email, meeting, or message was logged for the contact. This is set automatically by HubSpot based on the latest date of activities in the record. For example, the Last contacted property in the record will show yesterday’s date when a user logs a call that occurred the day before.
Alternatively, you could build an active contact-based list that filters for contacts associated to an activity either of the type email, meeting etc and specifcy the activity date to be less than X days ago.
For contacts not on the list, you’d know that there wasn’t any of the communication you’re looking for.
Let me know if I should provide more detail or if you have any follow-up questions.
I second this idea…Alternatively, we’d like the ability to add Any interactions (including HS Form Submissions). I’m surprised ‘Last Activity Date’ can’t be customized or there’s another field that would include Any interactions.
I have personally been finding that I feel somewhat out of the loop with the limited ways that we update “Last Activity”. It has me missing out on information on many of our clients, and it just shows as inconsistent throughout. Presumably each company has their own methods of reaching out to potential/current clients, it would seem to be reasonable to allow them to customize this field.
