Hello everyone,
I have just landed here in HB.
I have a request from my colleagues in sales, to create a report of how many new customers have in the last 30 days compared to the total orders received in the same period.
Unfortunately, I am still studying but I am not able to create such a report.
Is there anyone who can help me?
Let me know
Elisa
Hi @ESalemme,
Happy to help here. After playing around bit, unfortunately, this does not seem to be possible within one report – the reason being that this would have to be a cross-object report for contacts (customers) and deals (orders); once contacts are filtered down by the date they became a customers, associated deals would, too, be filtered to only display those deals by contacts recently turning into customers.
You’ll have to create two reports.
The good news: You can place these two reports right next to each other on a dashboard for easy comparison. How to Create, Clone, Delete, and Manage Dashboards in HubSpot
To create each report, follow the below steps:
- Navigate to Menu > Reports > Reports > Create report > Single object
- For the first report, select Contacts (assuming that these represent your customers). Set Filters (top left) to ‘Date entered ‘Customer’ is This entire month’. In the Visualization tab, drag and drop Count of Contacts and Create date into the Displaying area and choose a vertical bar chart as chart type. Save the report to a dashboard.
- For the second report, select Deals (assuming that deals represent your orders). Set Filters to ‘Close date is This entire month’. In the Visualization tab, drag and drop Count of Deals and Close date into the Displaying area and choose a vertical bar chart as chart type. Save the report to a dashboard.
