Cross-object Conditional Property Logic

It would be great to be able to require other object properties to be filled out with the Conditional Property Logic feature, especially in Conditional Stage Properties.

For example, often when a deal moves to another stage, we want to update a Company property. But snce you can only choose Deal properties in the Conditional Stage Properties (or even Conditional Property Logic), we must create the same Deal property just for the sake of capturing the information, then use a workflow to then copy the Deal property into the Company property.

I totally agree.

Have you found a workaround or a solution?

regards

David

We would like this also, the only solution we have is to replicate the properties and use a workflow to copy them across

I totally agree.

I would love Hubspot to provide an answer to why this ‘Can’t’ work.

I would love this update.
This is a great idea and would be much used. I would implement in every hub.
The only workaround is to dupe properties and create workflow that will inform in other object.

Hi everyone, I’m Rachel, the PM for properties. Thank you for taking the time to share this idea — we genuinely read and consider everything submitted here. After review, we currently don’t have plans to build this. This request falls outside the area we’re focused on right now. That said, we revisit our roadmap regularly, and customer ideas like this one do influence what we prioritize. Please continue to share your feedback!

I want to push back on RWebb1.
This seems pretty simple to make a conditional association if X field is updated.
No editing needed here, just an association option under a field with the list of objects.

Can you elaborate the coding/buildout hurdles here @rwebb1 ?

Agree with @COBEX_24_sKol this seems like a pretty easy solve for a really annoying problem. Right now we have workflows set up to alert someone if something gets into a deal stage but something on the company record needs to be updated.

I would love to be able to require certain feedback when a deal reaches a certain stage AND the deal is over a certain value without added logic.
