I’m a huge lover of the HubSpot Projects tool as it helps me keep an extensive checklist of tasks pertaining to client onboardings, offboardings, etc. BUT, I’d love to be able to trigger automatic project creation based on any number of triggers in the workflows tool. For example, if a deal moves into Closed Won, I’d love to have a project created automatically based on an onboarding checklist template. Does anyone else share this specific use case?
Absolutely would love this feature/option! For exactly the same reasons. In our Support team we use a pipeline called “Onboarding” and would love to automated Projects with checklists to cover during the end to end new client onboarding. HubSpot Tasks are fine for now, but they are hard to keep track of in terms of a structured checklist and “next steps” type management. For now, we automatically create a Task to create the Project.
Agreed on this! I had a customer today who brought up the same use case. If we could add Project/Project templates as an action in a workflow it makes it much easier to give a standard set of tasks to a user rather than creating a series of tasks within a workflow.
+1 this would help us migrate off of Monday!
Yup! This is exactly something I would love to do in our organization. I don’t understand why it’s not an “action” considering that “Projects” is a HubSpot feature.
One of my clients is looking for this as well. Organizing projects with the same tasks every time would be lovely to get triggered when the deal is closed.
Yes I’d like to be able to use workflow to create a Project based on a template, with Tasks starting based on the Delivery Date in the Deal.
Would also like to have Tasks and Sub-Tasks like MS Project. Add dependencies and also use it for capacity planning!
Happy to share use cases with a HubSpot Product Manager ![]()
