We’re unable to create Notes from a Custom Code Action workflow regardless of which API path we use. Both return
403 errors. There is no Notes-specific scope in Private App settings — the docs indicate Contacts write should
cover this.
1. Date-versioned API (new)
POST https://api.hubapi.com/crm/objects/2026-03/notes
403 — “The scope needed for this API call isn’t available for public use.”

The same private app token successfully reads contacts, meetings, and email associations with no issues — note
creation specifically is blocked across both paths.
Is note creation via the API currently broken due to the new updates, or is there a scope/endpoint combination we’re missing?

Regarding the required scopes for the Notes API, as you stated it working for other objects I presume you already have the two scopes described here?

I wasn’t able to locate any persistent reports of this internally, but tagging in some of our Top Contributors here in case their able to point anything out here in the meantime!

@Logan_Armstrong - I can verify that I’m consistently able to create Notes on Contact records using the contact write scope and the v3 CRM object. The debug issues in setting things initially up were primarly those of time format and file association.
