Good morning,
I am willing to create a form that includes the property “company domain name”. To my udnerstanding, Hubspot will create new companies from this form unless the domain name / company already exists, in this case, it will update its information.
Is there a way I can set this form only to create new companies and not to update any existing information? Can Hubspot let me know which form submissions had already existing domain names?
Thank you for your help
Martin
Yes, in HubSpot, you can configure the form submission behavior to only create new companies and not update existing information. This can be done by adjusting the form settings in the HubSpot form editor.
To achieve this, you can set up a workflow or automation rule that triggers based on form submissions. Within the workflow or automation rule, you can specify conditions to check if a company with the submitted domain name already exists in your HubSpot CRM. If it doesn’t exist, the workflow will create a new company. If it does exist, you can choose not to take any action or set up a notification to alert you about the existing company.
Additionally, HubSpot provides reporting and analytics features that allow you to view form submissions and associated company information. You can filter or segment submissions based on various criteria, including company domain names, to identify which submissions correspond to existing companies. This can help you track and manage form submissions more effectively.
