Converting Blog Posts to Audio Files

Hey community,
A few weeks ago, we started experimenting with text-to-speech AI that converts blog posts to audio files.

Today, I would like to share with you the first demo page with an audio player where you can listen to a blog post instead of reading it.

Do you think it is good enough for a production website?

Hi @RomanGruit

Thank you for reaching out.

I want to tag some of our experts here - @danmoyle @Josh @Olivia_Bagnall do you have any thought to share with @RomanGruit on this?

Thank you!

Best

Thanks for the tag @TitiCuisset.

I love the idea of being able to listen to an article, not just have to read it. A couple of thoughts: First, I almost missed it. The player is really subtle and kind of hidden under the post title.

As a listener, I’d like the option to listen faster. 1.25, 1.5 and 2x speed would be great. Also, the reading feels very robotic. I prefer a more natural reading.

But overall I think this is a great option to start testing for sure. Nice work @RomanGruit & team!

Our text-to-speech integration for a blog got the HubSpot marketplace listed. Give it a try! Here is the link - HubSpot Marketplace

It’s close.. But still robotic, and the voice is awful.

Would the paid version have more voice options, speed control, maybe read a little less robotic?

Thanks, we’ve been wanting this functionality for a while..

Yeah, that is true. I also was hesitant if people used it.
Nevertheless, some folks think it is good enough for production.
It evolves super fast. The last voice pack update was quite good. I predict the next one will be even closer to an actual human.
About features request. Would you mind setting up a call and discussing it in more detail?

I went to your website and the voice on that demo sounds pretty good. I also like that you can easily update the colors of the player.
I installed on a blog and it has demo audio that says “It will be replaced with the blog post audio once editing is completed”. What editing is it referring to? I published the page and it didn’t change. Is there a way to test the blog article audio?

Thanks

Hey @PSM,

I’ve checked your account. It seems that the Voice installation wasn’t finished.

Here is what needs to be done to activate integration fully:
1. Log in to Voice.
2. Navigate to Voice
3. Choose colors for your portal and activate the player for public display on your blog post pages.

We can set up a call and do it together if you want. It is free.
