Contacts Re-enrollments

Hi, I’ve created a workflow for a multi-touch email campaign for a dedicated target list using a delay rule i.e. 15 days (not date specific) delay between each email, contacts can re-enroll in this workflow too. The problem here is whatever contacts re-enrolled received all five emails at once. Shouldn’t there be a delay of 15 days between each email as per the trigger? why did this happen? Am I missing a logic?

Hi @PDamacharla,

Delays are not primarily managed through workflow triggers but the delay workflow action. Click the + sign in the workflow editor and select the ‘Delay’ tile in the left sidebar.

If you’re saying that all emails were delivered at once, it sounds like you have five workflow actions that each send an email. Between each of these actions should be a delay action.

While there are exceptions and nuances, any date filters you apply in the enrollment criteria don’t affect the delay between automated emails you add further down.

Can you please share a screenshot of your workflow? I can provide more context and help then.

Best regards

Thanks for the response. I did follow the delay filter as you mentioned, can you please take a look at these screenshots and try to answer in this workflow POV? Appreciate it.

@PDamacharla this looks correct. Contacts on the list will enroll, will receive email 6, after 15 days email 7, after another 15 days email 8 and so on. This looks correct. Just keep in mind that your delay for x days and 14/15/16 hours means that some contacts will not receive your emails during the day.

Look at this screenshot, this is an example of the error I was talking about. This lead has been recently added (the workflow with the campaign was launched in March) to my target list based on the trigger criteria. After that, the workflow has sent him all the 6 emails at once on the same day and at the same time!!! This is what i don’t understand, eventually it should have sent the email 1 pause for 15 days and the send email 2 and so on…I’ confused with this outcome and I

would like get help in understanding what went wrong?

@PDamacharla at the time when these emails were sent, was the workflow set up as it is now?

Can you please check the actions log of the workflow for this contact and send a screenshot? Understand your workflow details page

Are there potentially other workflows which might also be sending the same emails?
