Just to make sure that I understand the point of confusion here, do you mean that the documentation indicated that you can add any filters to your list but it’ll not append?
If that’s the case, I hope I can clear things up a little here:
The first sentence of the Filters description - “Any filters that you want to add to your list.” indicates that you can add any filters that you’d like to the list; which is true. However, the note is indicating that if there are existing filters in the list, the filters wouldn’t append to the existing filters but rather replace it.
Let me know if I’m misunderstanding the confusion here, happy to clear things up.

Yes, that’s what I meant, and although it seems clear for you, I still think it’s confusing.
Here is a list of alternatives
“Any filters you want to populate your list with.”
“Comprehensive enumeration of the criteria you want to filter your list with.”
