The User property type is very useful, but we’ve recently worked with multiple customers who would like more control over which users appear in each ownership dropdown.
A helpful enhancement would be the ability to filter the users shown in a User property dropdown, ideally based on team or department. For example, a property could be configured to only display users who belong to a specific HubSpot team.
Currently, the workaround is to create a custom dropdown with the desired user options and then use a workflow to set the actual ownership property. This is a fairly cumbersome workaround for something that feels like it should be supported natively.
Adding team-based filtering to User properties would make ownership fields cleaner, reduce user error, and simplify setup for teams with more complex assignment structures.
