companies duplicates

Hi

I want to resolve a doubt regarding some imports of companies that I have made

there were 3 different imports and at the moment of making them none of them showed duplicates, but at the moment of seeing the general count of the imported companies there are many new companies that exceed the number of companies that I imported.

What could this be due to?

Note: Not all the companies of these imports have a Company Domain Name.

HubSpot deduplicate companies based on the Company Domain Name which is probably why you have duplicates.

With a Pro subscription, you can manually deduplicate these records, and with an Operations Pro subscription you can do that in bulk.

Yes you will have to deduplicate those records manually, or alternatively if you have Operations Hub, duplicate using that in bulk.

I also wanted to recommend Insycle. Full disclosure, I work for Insycle, but it has advanced deduplication features to help you dedup in bulk after importing.

Here is a breakdown of how Insycle can help with deduplication for companies.

  • Using any field in your database as a matching field (company names, addresses, emails, phone numbers), not just IDs and company domains. This allows you to catch more duplicates.
  • While you can’t deduplicate on import, you can set associations on import, which can help you to limit duplicates in the future.
  • What you can do is use Insycle’s Recipes and integrate them directly with your HubSpot Workflows. Then, you can set it up so that as soon as new data hits your database, it is automatically deduplicated after that.
  • When you do merge records, you have complete control over the data that is retained in the master record on a field-by-field basis.
