[Coming Soon] Required Two-Factor Authentication for Basic Accounts

What is it?

Starting on March 29th, 2023, users on HubSpot Basic accounts will be required to set up 2FA before logging into their accounts.

Why does it matter?

HubSpot accounts often contain a large amount of personal & private information about your contacts, customers, & your business. Two-factor authentication (2FA) remains the best, most effective way to ensure that online accounts, including HubSpot accounts, & the data within are safe from bad actors. For that reason, HubSpot will begin requiring 2FA for Basic customers in March of 2023. Users on Basic accounts have been given 30 days to set up 2FA before the requirement will take effect.

How does it work?

After March 29th, users logging into a Basic account will be asked to set up 2FA before continuing. Once they have, they’ll be prompted to confirm their login attempt via 2FA to ensure that the login attempt is legitimate. This adds an extra layer of security to access to your HubSpot account.

Hi,

Does this mean that other users (free, Starter) are not forced to enroll MFA even if admin has checked the "Require Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) in the admin setting? It seems, that even that is enabled, users can postpone setting MFA.

Also, is there a possibility to lists users who hasn’t registered MFA? I know there is grey shield icon, but I would like see this information in a list format.
