Clickable link in deal information?

Hey guys!

What is the best way to add a clickable link in deal information outside of a company’s URL? We have google sheets we use for each deal that would be nice to click straight into from the deal infomation as opposed to the link being copied and pasted from a single line text deal attribute.

Thank you in advance!

Hi @Caitlin_BoxedUp,

This can be a simple single-line text property. Place it in the left deal sidebar; once you add a link in the field, it should become clickable automagically.

Best regards!

Thank you! That worked perfectly!

Hi,

How could we add a link to a server folder location in the deal section below?

We have a server folder for each deal and just need to add the hyperlink into each Hubspot deal so we can easily access whilst in hubspot

Kind Regards

Dave Stephenson

This feature now seems to be broken. We have been using single-line text field on Deals to hold a URL for some time now, and just this morning my team is reporting they can’t directly open it. I believe it used to have the little box arrow icon signifying opening in a new tab.

Hi @AbigailH,

Thanks for reaching out!

Could you please provide an example, perhaps with screenshots, to illustrate what your team is currently seeing? This would greatly assist our review of the situation.

Thanks!

Diana

Hey @Caitlin_BoxedUp hope you are doing great.

The easiest way is as Karsten suggested,

and I’d add that if this super important

I’d make it an Obligatory property to complete when a Deal reach a specific stage of the pipeline,

let say, quoting/negotiation.

If you want something more advance/sophisticated (Coding needed)

you can have a custom card that 'd link and display the Google Sheet file

for example in the middle column.

Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for the recommendation. That would be an incredibly helpful feature to add. Who would I contact about creating that?

You can follow the steps in this article

And when you choose the Link/URL property check the box of “Requiered”

That will make it mandatory to move forward in the sales process.

You can always have the support of expert partners like us and many others

that can help you customize the CRM to your business needs.
