I’m surprised that Hubspot have no bug report capability (they think their software is perfect?). Boeing thought theirs was two until two planeloads of people were sacrificed (search “How Boeing 737 MAX’s flawed flight control system led to 2 crashes that killed 346” if you’re interested).
So here’s the bug:
I’m logged into Hubspot in my browser - it works.
My Hubspot Outlook plugin that allows me to track activity (clunky but that’s crappy design not a bug) has logged me out (per below). When I click “Log in”, hubspot asks for UN/P, which I provide, then asks me to “check the mobile app” (screenshot below).
Mobile app also asks for UN/P then a screen appears that says “Please confirm it’s you on your trusted device or enter a verification code”. There’s a box to enter a code, and a link to “use a backup code” which then asks for an “unused backup code”.
What code? I have no code. I’ve never had a code. I’ve never had a backup code. I don’t know where to get a code or a backup code.
Bad, untested, useless software. I can no longer track my activity in Outlook. This is something that management measures. I might lose my job due to lack of (recorded) activity. At least I won’t lose my life like 346 Boeing passengers, due to badly designed, untested software.
