This is in behave of one of my customers.
It will be highly necessary to be able to edit the currency format of RD$123.456,00 for RD$123,456.00 as some countries like the Dominican Republic, use commas.
PLEASE!!! Many users like me from Dominican Republic need this. This a high priority requirement from many business team.
+1 , would be great to have this. Two of my clients requested that. 
This is also the case in The Netherlands. This is how we use numbers 100.000,00
The currency format should be with words (US$1.500,54, not $1.500,54).
Is important that the monetary unit is written.
Example:
CLP$100
USD$100,1
EUR$100,2
