Can't create a filter for a custom field.

I’ve created a custom field called ‘Lead Source’ and I want to create a filter to see all the leads from a specific trade show. When I add a new filter, select my field, and click ‘contains exactly,’ I am unable to type anything in the text box. I get a red circle with a line through it when I mouse over the text box. What am I missing?

Hi @NEnd,

Which type does your property have? (checkboxes, single-line text etc) Where exactly are you trying to add the filter?

The type is single line text. I am clicking on ‘advanced filters’ on the ‘contacts’ screen. I included a screenshot below.

@NEnd you should be able to start typing, then hit enter :slightly_smiling_face:

That’s what I thought as well but when I try to enter text, I get this red circle with a line through it and cannot type anything.

@NEnd it looks like you’re first trying to click, then to type. You need to

  1. Type whatever lead source you want to filter for
  2. Hit Enter
