Hi!
I have perused the documentation but am having trouble finding examples of creating custom objects in batch.
Basically, to save on requests, I would really prefer sending one request that creates 100 custom objects than sending 100 requests as I worry that would hit the rate limiter. If this is possible, is there any resource you could point me to?
Thanks!
Hi @HKamminga
I’m assuming you’d like to create a batch of custom object records (e.g. if your custom object was called “Cats”, you want to create 100 individual “Cat” records), as opposed to creating up to 100 custom object types/definitions in a single request. Is that correct?
If so, it should be as simple as:
{
"inputs": [
{
"properties": {
"example_property_1": "Example 1",
"example_property_2": "Example 2"
}
},
{
"properties": {
"example_property_1": "Example 3",
"example_property_2": "Example 4"
}
}
]
}
The official HubSpot API documentation can be found here. Navigate to the “Objects” tab, then scroll down until you see “Create a batch of objects”. The example in the documentation is not particularly clear, but hopefully you’ll be on the right path now.
I hope this proves useful. Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
