Hello @JCraggs,
By default, this is not possible, unfortunately. Two records (contacts, companies, deals, tickets) can only be associated if they are of a different type. Contact <> Company, Deal <> Company etc. You cannot associate a contact with a contact at the moment.
The best workaround, for now, is to either create a single-line text property and use it to store a link to the other contact record that you want it to refer to. This would be one way, unless you the property on the other contact record to link back. You would simply navigate to a contact record, copy the URL from the address bar and store it in a single line text field. Far from ideal but at least there’s a link.
Alternatively, you can also store multiple links to contact records in a note on a contact record. You can pin this note to always be at the top of the contact timeline. Still just one way, but gives you more space and flexibility than a property.
There’s also hope for more flexibility here. The product team is working on a feature to associate a contact with multiple companies. This could serve as a workaround, too, here. You can follow the development by liking the idea.
Hope this helps!
Hi @JCraggs ,
What you mean by connecting two custom properties? At present there is no way to connect/associate properties.
What you can do is, create a custom properties by the same name and use it in Contacts/companies and Deals.
Hope this helps!

My question here is similar, where we have the ability to select from a drop down the various programs the client is purchasing. What I would like to have is the ability to ad cohort sizes for each of the programs selected, without having to create a custom field for each of the 15 programs we offer, to collect cohort sizes for each.
The connecting custom properties would be something like, DEAL: 4 programs being purchased and selected in dropdow. Based on this, a new field opens for each of the 4 programs that allows single line text to input the cohort size for each program. Is tht possible?
