Hi.
For context, we are streamlining our elibility checks to enroll people onto our courses. However one check we do is their age, and we see fit that this can be simply automated to quickly get rid of people who don’t meet that requirement.
However, what we are looking for is people who have turned 19 BEFORE September 1st 2024. Now I am aware I could set filters in flows to do it for this year however this is something I don’t want to be updating every day or year and should be automated.
I know Hubspot has calculation properties, so I am wondering, is there any way I can calculate someones age on September 1st of the current year?
Hi @LMarkham,
I would solve this with a time-between-calculation property: Create calculation and rollup properties
For new eligible contacts, simply make sure to populate the second date property with the value for Sep 1, 2024.
You can then filter for contacts where duration is >= 19 years.
Best regards
Hi Karsten,
Thanks for teh quick reply.
Is there anyway that I can ensure that Sep 1 updates with the current year? Or is it something that will just have to be updated on a annual basis?
@LMarkham a contact-based workflow that recurs annually on September 1, then uses the “Edit record” workflow action to set the second date property to the current date could solve that
