Hey All:
What kind of reports do you show your managers, VPs, Presidents weekly? Monthly? We dont use the CRM for sales, thats managed in Dynamics. Just wondering what you all are using to report up. We are already doing the social report, marketing dashboard report (weekly and monthly) as well as the prospects report.
Also, is there a way to see those unknown SSL keywords in the traffic report?
Thanks!
Erin
Hi @ErinKas
At Blend we report to client stakeholders on a variety of metrics. Typically we include things like:
- Traffic trends broken down by:
- Leads/contacts generated broken down by:
- Source
- Conversion offer/form submitted
- MQLs generated, again broken down by source
We also report on the performance of email, social, paid and keyword rankings over the period.
To your second question - there is no way to see the keywords behind SSL, this is how Google affords it’s users privacy. It’s advisable to use a third party SEO tool to get a sense of which keywords are driving your traffic. Like many, we use SEMRush.
Hope this helps.
Hey @ErinKas … what Phil said. Plus, it’s gonna totally depend on the level of granularity they’d like to see. Some like what we call ‘reports from the trenches’. Others just want summaries. Here are a few excellent examples from a post earlier this year.

The above withstanding, more and more we see a shift away from platform-dependent reporting (like HubSpot, Google, FB, etc.) to platform agnostic dashboards using tools like Databox. Databox dashboards allow us to show data from multiple platforms on the same screen -- a HUGE advantage over historically conventional platform-dependent reporting.
Erin,
Since your company uses Microsoft Dynamics for CRM, you might want to consider using Microsoft Power BI for dashboards and advanced reporting. Power BI allows you to easily connect, manipulate and display from many sources (from Excel sheets to cloud data sources like Google Analytics). We use it to deliver sales and marketing reporting through one unified executive dashboard. There is a HubSpot Connector for Power BI in the HubSpot Connect directory (disclosure: my firm Bayard Bradford provides this service).
