Best Practice for Tagging Contacts

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a best practice to tag customers with multiple tags.

For example: We have contacts which are using a specific product. We now want to tag all customers with that product. But they are also using different products which are for a certain partner/brand. So we want to add this too.

In addition we want to tag interests of the customer in a specific topic.

As you can see, there are multiple different tags (more than mentioned here) for every customer.

What would be the peferct way to add these tags?

So we can use them for exampe in marketing mails but also make sure that our sales colleagues don’t waste a lot of time by adding them.

Hi @cp_sk ,

Personally, I would use a multi-checkbox property for each tag type.

  • Product
  • Interest
  • Partner/Brand

This will enable you to tag multiple options within each of the three main categories, while keeping the categories separated. You can then use filter logic in reports to find the combinations of tags you are looking for like: Product is any of X, Y, or Z AND Partner/Brand is any of A AND Interest is any of 1, 2, or 3.
