Automatically Apply Discount Code

Hi there,

Is there a way to automatically add a discount code at checkout? I want to give customers a 20% discount code in an email and I’d like the discount code to be automatically applied when they click on the button in the email and reach checkout.

It’s possible in Klaviyo so I’m assuming this is an option in Hubspot too? Can I add something to the end of the URL?

Thanks so much!

Hi @EGerritsjans,

Yes, this is possible. You can find step-by-step instructions here: Auto-populate form fields with a query string

Keep in mind that this refers to HubSpot forms and conversion paths where the form is directly located on the page that a recipient clicks through to. For a multiple step check-out process, additional development might be needed.

Best regards!

@EGerritsjans a couple resources in addition to what @karstenkoehler gave you:

Hope those also help!

Thanks for this thread. Just adding that this isn’t currently possible in HubSpot Payments checkout flows.
We’re offering a 50% lifetime discount via a code and would love to preload it in the payment link — especially since we promote the discounted price everywhere.

It’s confusing for customers to land on a full-price checkout page and only see the discount after typing the code manually.

It would be great to support something like ?discount=CODE or similar for payment links.

+1 on this request!
