Automatic Task Created by 1:1 Email Clicks or Opens

Looking for a way to generate an automatic task from 1:1 emails sent that are opened or clicked a set minimum number of times. It works for mass marketing campaigns, but not 1-1 individual emails, which is how I work. This would help me and my team. Thanks!

@JWein47 I see in workflows where, under “contact properties,” there’s “recent sales email” open and clicked date both. From there you have several choices:

I’d start there. I will also caution though, that opens may not be the best measure. I’d actually start with clicks.

Hi @JWein47,

You’re correct, this information is currently not available for filters or enrollment criteria. As @danmoyle says, there are only the default sales email interaction date properties.

You could create a custom number property and use a contact-based workflow that increases the value of that property +1 when the sales email open or click date updates (re-enrollment based on the date ‘is known’). I haven’t tested this but I’d assume this would only trigger once per day, meaning that you wouldn’t get a true count of clicks but one that’s deduplicated by day. In any case, it would be better than nothing.

Generally however I wouldn’t obsess too much with email opens. Emails can be forwarded, they’re cached by email clients for faster loading and scanned for malicious content. All of this looks like an open to the HubSpot tracking pixel but is not an actual human interacting.

Hope this helps!
