The v3 associations API lacked some capabilities & has been superseded by the v4 associations API.
The v3 associations API allowed for batch operations, however the v4 API seems to lack batch endpoints. For example, batch get deal-to-contact associations for a group of 50 unique deal IDs. Is this a documentation issue, or is there no v4 way to collect association details in bulk?

To clarify, the v3 Associations API, which contains the batch endpoints, is not replaced or depreciated. Unless explicitly flagged for depreciation on the endpoint page itself, these endpoints are considered stable and supported.
As a user of our documentation myself, I agree with you that having the Associations endpoint documentation and versions spread out across at least three pages is confusing.
I will pass this feedback onto the team that handles documentation.
