Association ordering in cards

Problem:
Currently, when viewing associated records (like Contacts on a Company record) in HubSpot, there are very limited sorting options. The UI only allows sorting by:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email
  • Phone number

There is no option to sort by Create Date or Association Date. This creates challenges when trying to quickly identify the most recently added or the oldest associated contacts. For example, if a Company has dozens of associated Contacts, there’s no easy way to tell which ones are the newest or oldest without exporting the data or manually digging through it though ‘View assoviated contacts’.

Why it matters:
Being able to sort by Create Date would make it far easier to:

  • Identify and prioritize the most recently added Contacts.
  • Spot older Contacts that might need re-engagement or cleanup.
  • Improve workflows where time-based association is critical (e.g., tracking the latest customers tied to a Company).

This isn’t just a “nice-to-have” – it would improve data hygiene, save time for users, and align with how many teams expect to work with associated records.

Proposed solution:
Add Create Date (and optionally Association Date) as sorting options in the UI for associated records on object cards. This would allow users to filter and order associated objects more effectively without relying on workarounds.

Agreed that this would be very useful.

I would take a step back and just even say, it would be nice if I could filter/search by company name when I’m in Deal or Contacts view. Right now, the work around is to create a workflow that copies the company name to my contact/deal which seems clunky.
