The new feature to be able to associate objects via workflow is useful, however limited. You are required to have matching properties on both objects you want to associate, which is limiting and means you have to create workarounds for this.
It would be great if you could associate objects via a workflow just by choosing a property of the object you want to associate to. For example, when someone fills in a form, we want to associate them to a specific Event (our custom object) so would want to be able to choose the Event name property. Instead, we have to make a contact property that matches the event name.
