AND OR Logic active lists

Hello,
I am trying to set an active lists.. i would like to set the following filters:

Group 1:

Lifecycle stage is any of Marketing Qualified Lead, Sales Qualified Lead

and

List membership is member of “Intersolar 2025 Leads”

and

Marketing contact status is Marketing contact

and

Lead status is none of Customer

AND

Group 2:

Last email open date is more than 30 days ago

OR Last email open date is unknown

OR Last activity date is more than 30 days ago

OR Last activity date is unknown
Is it possibile? I can see that the ‘OR’ is set by default..but like this it’s Group 1 OR Group 2 right??
How can i set as I have explained above?

Hi @SBattuello,

You’ll have to split out your filter criteria across more filter groups. If I read your criteria correctly, it would have to look like this:

[Group 1]

Lifecycle stage is any of Marketing Qualified Lead, Sales Qualified Lead

AND List membership is member of “Intersolar 2025 Leads”

AND Marketing contact status is Marketing contact

AND Lead status is none of Customer

AND Last email open date is more than 30 days ago

OR

[Group 2]

Lifecycle stage is any of Marketing Qualified Lead, Sales Qualified Lead

AND List membership is member of “Intersolar 2025 Leads”

AND Marketing contact status is Marketing contact

AND Lead status is none of Customer

AND AND Last email open date is unknown

OR

[Group 3]

Lifecycle stage is any of Marketing Qualified Lead, Sales Qualified Lead

AND List membership is member of “Intersolar 2025 Leads”

AND Marketing contact status is Marketing contact

AND Lead status is none of Customer

AND Last activity date is more than 30 days ago

OR

[Group 4]

Lifecycle stage is any of Marketing Qualified Lead, Sales Qualified Lead

AND List membership is member of “Intersolar 2025 Leads”

AND Marketing contact status is Marketing contact

AND Lead status is none of Customer

AND Last email open date is more than 30 days ago

AND Last activity date is unknown

There is currently no way to force a different combination of AND and OR in list filters. You have to follow HubSpot’s groups where each group only contains AND and groups are connected via OR.

Alternatively, creae a separate list that contains all contacts where

Last email open date is more than 30 days ago

OR Last email open date is unknown

OR Last activity date is more than 30 days ago

OR Last activity date is unknown

… then, going back to your original list, simply filter for:

Lifecycle stage is any of Marketing Qualified Lead, Sales Qualified Lead

AND List membership is member of “Intersolar 2025 Leads”

AND Marketing contact status is Marketing contact

AND Lead status is none of Customer

AND List membership is member of [new list]
