In workflows, Custom Code actions support defining outputs, including enumeration outputs that can be used to populate select-type properties (dropdown, multiple checkboxes, etc.).
However, there is currently no way to bulk-manage the enumeration options on these Custom Code outputs:
- Each enumeration option must be added one by one in the Custom Code action output configuration.
- There is no “paste list”, “load options”, or “copy from property” capability like we have for CRM enumeration properties.
- At the same time, a simple string output cannot be mapped directly into an enumeration property, so if we want to populate an enum field via Custom Code, we must define an enum output with all matching options.
In my case, I need to configure 132 enumeration options on a Custom Code output. Entering and updating these manually is very time-consuming and error-prone, especially when the same option set already exists on a CRM property. I know these can be posted through the properties API but I would rather keep populating the properties in the workflow actions.
