This week’s image challenge is meant to make you hungry. Guess which image is AI generated.
Bonus points: can you guess the prompt I put in to generate this image?

I mean, image 1 is definitely AI-generated, LOL - there’s a weird hole in the cheese. --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.
It’s orange Swiss! --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.
I feel like my initial guess is image 1… so I am going with image 2 --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.
Not confident in my answer, but I’m going with 1 being AI-generated. --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.
Image 1 is my guess because of the cheese as Liz Karschner pointed out. There is also something weird about the tomatoes on top that read fake to me. --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.
I say this was a trick question, they are both AI generated but wondering why the first burger is so pixilated? --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.
Image 2 also has the sesame seeds really well randomized - like I don’t think AI would think that far ahead to make sure that both are completely different and yet very close. I have watched videos on how people do the images of food, specifically fast food, and the second image looks more like those videos showed. --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.
I can’t unsee the weird hole in the cheese that Liz Karschner pointed out so I’m going with image 1. For Bonus points I’m going with… Generate me an image of a Whopper meal without the drink and make sure to have a weird hole in the cheese --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.
This is a tough one.. they could be both, they also both could be from real photographers. AI is all about promping and AI interpretation, for this reason I’ll go with #2 as being the AI one, the prompt was “generate an image of a double cheeseburger with fries” and the AI didn’t get the double right but just went ahead and created 2 burgers (same as double). But then again when prompting DALL-E with this same prompt I get a real cheese burger --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.
Just changed my mind, #2 is definitely not AI it’s stock (Three burgers and fries in a basket) https://unsplash.com/photos/three-hamburgers-and-french-fries-in-a-basket-tsB97NwNX28 I don’t understand why it’s called 3 burgers but that’s the name on Unsplash. Brings us back to 1 being the AI one and the prompt would have looked like: Generate a realistic and appetizing image of a double cheeseburger with two beef patties, melted cheddar cheese, fresh lettuce, sliced tomatoes, all sandwiched between a sesame seed bun, served on a wooden cutting board, with a side of golden fries and a small sliced tomato as garnish, in a warm and inviting atmosphere suitable for a restaurant menu promotion --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.
But is it an AI generated stock photo? Really makes you think
--- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.
Cian Mac Mahon I don’t think it is AI generated (the pictograms on the wrapper seem to accurate for AI to generate) - But yes there are many stock photos generated with AI and many applications to do this, in the end it’s not the result that is the art, the art is in the prompting. --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.
Left is AI (I didn’t read any comments to sway me). --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.
